KSWC Eline slickline cable head

The 1-11/16” OD ELINE SLICKLINE CABLE HEAD provides a reliable mechanical and electrical connection between the slickline (ELINE) and the tool string. This cable head provides for a pressure rating of 20,000 psi at 400F. This cable head can be configured for standard slickline operation with sucker rod adapters or for ELINE operation. The KSWC ELINE slickline cable head is the standard for durability and simplicity.

Wireline Weak Link Cable Head Tool,
1-11/16” OD
U.S. Patent number US 11,608,691 B2

The 1-11/16” OD Wireline Weak Link Cable Head Tool provides a reliable mechanical and electrical connection between the wireline (mono-conductor) and the tool string with a known calibrated pull out. This cable head provides for the “open-hole” style cup and race re-head that allows for up to 80 percent of the strength of the wireline at max pull out. The introduction of the shock resistant wire rope weak link into the cable head assembly provides a known calibrated pull out every time. Operationally this cable head will allow for one re-head per well. This cable head is compatible with all standard mono-cables from 7/32” OD to 5/16” OD and including greaseless or jacketed wireline cables. This wire rope weak link cable head is the standard for durability and simplicity.

When the Wireline Weak Link Cable Head is combined with the Safe Release System and the Electromechanical Release Tool (KERT) you have the security of knowing you will be able to release when needed without the complications of the Ballistic Release tools or other types of release products. When safety and reliability are key factors then KSWC is the clear choice.

Safe Release Tool

The Safe Release Tool consists of an X nipple type latch that is retained in the latch position by a spring-loaded sliding collar. The collar maintains the latch until the weak link is broken on the cable head. The stinger from the cable head then travels up-hole and engages the latch collar moving it up-hole. This movement of the collar removes the restriction of the collet latch thus releasing everything above the cable head to be pulled out of the hole by the wireline. Once the operational depth is less than 15,000 feet (varies by well and setup) the weak link in the cable head can be broken to allow release. This removes the need for a Ballistic Release Tool style release at these depths.

Safe Release System Safe

The Wireline Weak Link Cable Head and the Safe Release Tool can be combined with housing (part#331.060) to create the Safe Release System. This gives the best combination of functionality and reliability in cable head release systems and the ability to retrieve sinker bars and any other tools above the cable head.

KERT - Electro-mechanical Release Tool
U. S. Patent number US 11,808,092 B2

The 2 ¾” diameter K-ERT is an independent tool which when put in the tool string will allow for a safer, more reliable, and smooth release on command. The system is operated as an independent, addressable tool in the string. When the KSWC control box is put in line and the release command is sent from the PC laptop through the control box, a DC motor actuates the release within 30 seconds. The release assembly and any tools in the string above, then comes out of the bore hole. You then have a clean 2 ¾” OD tool looking up for fishing operations. The K-ERT is safe in that it will not release until the control box is put in line and the system is activated using KSWC software on your laptop PC. The K-ERT acts as a power pass through for perforating until it is activated. There are no explosives as with the Ballistic Release Tools and the operation of the system is simple, intuitive, and reliable.

K-ARCH Active Releaseable Cable Head Tool
3-1/8” OD
U.S. Patent Pending

The K-ARCH Active Releaseable Cable Head Tool in 3-1/8” OD is a reliable and versatile option instead of using a Ballistic Release Tool. The K-ARCH cable head operates in two modes. The first mode is as a standard weak link cable head that will separate when the tensile strength of the weak link is exceeded. The second mode of operation is to be able to select when you want to release by means of the KSWC addressable switching system that would activate a DC motor that would drive the assembly to break the weak link upon command from the surface. This gives the operator the best of both worlds. This dual function cable head has proven to be a safe and reliable method for release in down hole logging operations.
